HOW MANY GUESTS CAN THE GALA ACCOMMODATE?

The number of guests The Gala - Lincoln can accommodate varies by the additional set-up requirements you may have. For example, a typical reception set up with a head table, rounds of 8 or 10, a dance floor, bar, DJ set-up and cake table can accommodate 300 guests comfortably.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO RESERVE THE DATE?

To reserve The Gala - Lincoln a signed event contract and a $800 deposit that is non-refundable is required.

MAY I HOLD MY DATE TENTATIVELY WHILE I AM DECIDING?

A 24 hour hold may be placed on the date, which allows you “first right of refusal” if another client is interested. After 24 hours, a contract and deposit must be made or the date will be released.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

All deposits are non-refundable. If you need to move your date, your deposits may be transferred to the new available date when re-booked within six months and to occur no later than six months after the original date.  All deposits will be applied to the final bill.

WHEN DO I GUARANTEE MY NUMBER OF GUESTS?

Your final guest count is due by noon, five business days prior to your event date.

CAN I HAVE MY WEDDING CEREMONY AT THE GALA - LINCOLN?

The Gala - Lincoln would be honored to host your wedding.  We require additional time to reset the room for the reception. This time can be spent in our outdoor patio or in The Gala - Lincoln.

DOES THE CLUB OFFER PARKING FOR MY GUESTS?

The Gala - Lincoln has plenty of parking right outside the doors.  We have parking on both sides of the building.

DO YOU HAVE ANY LIMITATIONS ON DECORATING?

Restrictions regarding decorations are; no glitter or confetti, no open flames and no affixing anything to the walls.  Prior arrangements must be made to hang anything from the ceiling.  It will be either the clients or the decorators responsibility to remove all decorations the night of the event. Arrangements can be made in certain situations to have decorations removed within 24 hours.

WHAT IF I WANT TO HAVE A BAND OR DJ?

The Gala - Lincoln staffs some of the best DJs in the state.  Outside DJs are allowed but they must set up someplace outside of The Gala Lincoln's DJ booth.  Outside DJs are the clients responsibility.  Any damages by an outside DJ will be the responsibility of the client.

Bands are also accepted but arrangements must be made within 30 days of event for electrical requirements and load in / out times.  Client is responsible for band and any damages that may occur from a band and or their equipment.  At no time will any lighting, trussing or DJ booth equipment be allowed to be altered by any band.  If a band removes, adjust or tampers with any of The Gala's equipment the cost to replace or to reinstall any equipment will be passed on to the client.

At no time should anything be dragged across the floors.  Bands must take special precautions when moving equipment.  Damage to the floors may be passed on to the client.

CAN I BRING IN MY OWN FOOD?

Yes,  The Gala - Lincoln offers a list of preferred caters.  You may pick from one of our preferred caterers or you may bring in your own catering.  Our preferred caterers are very familiar with catering rules at The Gala - Lincoln.  If catering is brought in other than from the preferred list than that company will also need to abide by The Gala - Lincoln's catering rules.  Please speak with management about catering requirements.

IS ALCOHOL ALLOWED?

Because we have a liquor license no outside alcohol is allowed at The Gala - Lincoln

IS IT POSSIBLE TO HOLD A WEDDING ON A FOOTBALL SATURDAY?

Yes, we are professional event planners and will make your Husker game day event special.

IS THE SETUP OF TABLES AND CHAIRS INCLUDED IN MY RENTAL FEE?

Yes, The Gala - Lincoln's staff will set the room to your specifications prior to you arriving and break down all tables and chairs after your event at no additional cost.

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES FOR BARTENDERS & HOSTESSES?

The Gala - Lincoln provides 1 bartender per 75 guest at a rate of $75 for the event. Each additional bartender will be at the rate of $75 per event.

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES FOR AUDIO/VISUAL EQUIPMENT?

We do charge additional fees for audio and visual equipment such as, large projection screen, gobo light and some special effects which can be discussed with The Gala's event manager.

DO YOU HAVE A DANCE FLOOR? IF YES, DO YOU CHARGE AN ADDITIONAL FEE?

Yes, we have dance floor area.  Our dance floor area can be customized to be as big or small as you want.  Since the dance floor is the same as the rest of the flooring at The Gala - Lincoln, there is not additional cost for a dance floor.

HOW DO I TOUR THE GALA - LINCOLN AND CHECK FOR AVAILABILITY?

Contact the The Gala - Lincoln's event manager at 402.817-4159 to check for availability and schedule a tour.

IS THERE WI-FI IN THE BUILDING?

Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire club.

DOES THE CLUB REQUIRE A DAMAGE DEPOSIT?

Yes, we require a $500 damage deposit for every event.  Damage deposits may be paid by check and will be held until the event.  If there is no damage to The Gala - Lincoln then the damage deposits will be returned within 7 days of the event.

DOES THE GALA - LINCOLN SUPPLY SECURITY?

Security is not required for wedding receptions but it may be required for other types of events.  The Gala – Lincoln works with a security company and if security is needed this expense is passed on the client.

At any time The Gala – Lincoln has the responsibility to cut off overly intoxicated guest.  If at any time a guest becomes unruly than they may be asked to leave.  The Gala – Lincoln is happy to offer free non-alcohol drinks to guest that have had too much to drink or to designated drivers.
